    20fps at 1080p, it must be seen as a added feature to the 720p@30fps. I dont know how practical it can be.

    At least now we will have 2 firmware to work on to try to hack…

    Pablo,

    This 20 fps just doesn’t make sense! But I noticed something odd a couple days ago … the white paper for the 5D mark II seems to have been taken down by Canon. Perhaps the firmware update is coming, but it is very curious! If you have the original white paper, could you email it to me? Thanks.

    The proper link is below, which just says “error-page” and upon downloading the white paper from the original page (in my post above), it shows absolutely nothing, while other camera’s white paper’s work fine.

    What are you doing Canon?

    @J-Dog:

    The Canon EOS 5D Mark II & 50D White Paper was revised twice by Canon (since its original release), so far.

    It seems they have removed it from 5D Mark II’s page (so far, March 25th) but you can still download from the link in your first post:

    Just download it to your computer, then open it, it works fine.

    In Rev 1 Canon added some comments on page 3 (and maybe more details in other pages too)
    I don’t know what they exactly changed from Rev 1 to Rev 2, I didn’t compare them side by side.

    The 20fps is really weird :S I really hope (like J-dog said) the 5d firmware will get an update for pro movie mode, making more of a destinction between the two.

    I’m sure the 20p is only a marketing joke. Now they will be able to tell that they have the first VDSLR in Full HD for low-end consumers.

    1080 20p is a joke. Have you seen the jerky test footage? Yuck. I agree, it is just a marketing gimmick probably to face off the GH1’s 1080/24p, which is at least usable.

    I just bought the T1i and shot in the 1080 20p. Kinda strange but I used after effects and frame blending to convert it to 30 fps and it looked amazing. So that can be a work around. Also I have been seeing people use old nikon lens with adapters to get manual control over the lens.

    What does the 12800 expandable ISO mean, I just got this camera, and my max ISO is 3200, and max shutter is 1/4000, and thoughts??
